Terra Estate Winery is ideally located on the north shore of Consecon Lake. The location ensures cool lake breezes that blow over the vineyard during the hot, dry summer days and moderate lake effect winds which help insulate the vineyard from cold winter nights.

The vineyard is a wine lover’s paradise situated on a landscape of gently rolling hills in the heart of Prince Edward County, the newest wine region and the youngest appellation in Ontario’s VQA wine scene. Prince Edward County or “The County” as it is more commonly known, is an easy drive from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. It’s a small yet vibrant corner of rural Ontario which has been travelled by voyageurs, favoured by rum-runners and settled by United Empire Loyalists. Once home to canneries and orchards, now it’s acclaimed for fresh local cuisine, a thriving artisan community and boutique wineries.

Another county attraction is Sandbanks Provincial Park. It boasts three expansive sandy beaches which stretch for twelve kilometers along Lake Ontario. It has one of the largest freshwater sandbars and dune systems in the world, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

The County’s diversity mirrors Terra’s own varied wine selections: fruity, aromatic Native American varieties; classic European varietals; and, a blend of French-American, delivering the best of both worlds. This makes Terra a must stop on any tour of Prince Edward County.
